As part of a plan to strengthen its service to customers, HHI-EMD held a HYUNDAIEMD Forum on July 12, 2007 at the Marina Resort in Tongyeong. In attendance were representatives of twenty-four shipyards in Korea, including Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering,
Hanjin Heavy Industries, and Samsung Heavy Industries.

At this forum, HHI-EMD presented several products including its own HiMSEN engine, marine cargo oil pump, hydraulic pump, side thruster, and 2-stroke 82 bore engine jointly developed with the Wartsila Corporation. Many participants expressed interest in the small-sized
2-stroke engines below 46 bore that HHI-EMD had recently begun marketing as part of its product expansion. There was also great interest in the marine hydraulic pump.

Through this forum HHI-EMD had the opportunity to present a wide range of its products to customers. The forum also helped HHI-EMD develop stronger relationships with its customers, especially with the medium-and small-sized shipyards.
