HHI-EMD wins their first USCG approved HiBallast contract for Imabari Shipyard

 The Hyundai Heavy Industries announced that a contract for four (4) ballast water Treatment system (HiBallast (HiB-2000)) for a newbuilding of 63K Class Bulk Carriers which shall be supplied  to their client from 2019 has been signed with Imabari Shipyard on 26th November 2018. HiBallast is their self-developed BWTS with electrolysis system and this Contract is their first contract after they received USCG approval for Hiballast last October. In order to appreciate this achievement and strengthen their partnership, there has been a celebration event between the management of both parties.
 

The Hyundai Heavy industries Engine & Machinery Division(HHI-EMD), has signed contracts with Imabari shipyard who is the biggest shipbuilder in Japan for the supply of HiBallast for more than 50 ships of Container Carriers and Bulk Carriers due to Imabaris strong support and HHI-EMDs good service with the high skilled technology and reliability.

 “With USCG type approval of our BWTS (HiBallast), we will increase our market share significantly in the overseas market especially in Japan and China as well as in the domestic market” HHI-EMD officials added.
