An Order for Six Packaged Power Stations from Africa

08.11.2007
HHI-EMD won an order for six packaged power stations (PPS) to supply electric power to a mine site being developed in Africa.

HHI-EMD recently signed a contract with Paladin of Australia, a developer of uranium
mines, to supply and install six 1.7MW packaged power stations on which 6 sets of Hyundai HiMSEN 9H21/32 diesel engines will be mounted. The PPS will be delivered in November of 2007 and installed in the Malawi
area of Africa in January of 2008.

This order is significant because it is the first order of Hyundai PPS from Africa. HHI-EMD also expects a strong demand for the PPS in this area to supply electric power as more mines are developed.
