HiMSENs at National Industrial Complex

04.20.2002
HHI-EMD has signed a contract to provide its purely self-developed HiMSEN engines to the Gunjang National Industrial Complex.

Korea Land Corporation is developing the industrial complex between the southwest cities of Gunsan and Janghang, and will install water-supply pumps in the Gunsan area. The HiMSEN engines to be supplied are four 800-kW diesel engines along with auxiliary equipment.

The HiMSEN engine order not only attests to HHI's technological capabilities, but also indicates a change in Korea's marine and land-use diesel engine markets, which have relied on imports in the past.

The engines are scheduled to be installed at the Gunsan water-supply pump facility toward the end of this year.
