To accomplish these goals, HHI has focused on developing state-of-the-art environmental technology that includes air pollution control, waste treatment systems, water treatment systems, and alternative energies.

To help create a better future, HHI has developed a long-term Environmental Management System (EMS) with two main goals:

- - Introduce Life Cycle Assessments(LCA) and Design for Environment systems
- - Apply internal environmental standards more strictly
- - Minimize waste and maximize recycling
